Following President Obama’s first address to Congress on Tuesday night, Olbermann, the most nauseating broadcast jerk on the far left,  was caught muttering “Oh God” on the  airas Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal walked toward the camera to deliver the GOP response.

Olbermann started, “Chris, stand by, Rachel, stand by, we’re getting that cue from Baton Rouge where Governor Jindal of Louisiana is set to deliver the Republican response to President Obama. It is entitled ‘Americans Can Do Anything.’ Here’s Governor Jindal,” Olbermann said.

As the picture showed Jindal walking toward the camera, in a hushed voice Olbermann said, “Oh God” as others were heard laughing in the background.

All I can say is that I hope the culture shifts even more, and lewd, arrogant and obscene jerks like this are ignored more completely on television than they already are, and subsequently they drop off the face of the earth, or at least out of sight. And if anyone from the NFL is listening…guys, this idiot is NOT POPULAR with 99.99% of the people who watch football. The other announcers sitting next to him can’t even stand him, they lean back when he talks as if his attitude actually has a bad smell to it.  Which it probably does.

Republican leaders continued their attacks on President Obama’s handling of the economy Tuesday, calling it irresponsible and certain to increase taxes and federal debt.

Responding to Obama’s televised speech to a joint session of Congress, top Republicans said the president relies too heavily on spending, and not enough on tax cuts, to try to revive the gasping economy. They said they want to work with Obama, and sometimes blamed congressional Democrats more than him. But their criticisms were sharp and plentiful.

“The way to lead is not to raise taxes and put more money and power in hands of Washington politicians,” said Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who gave the Republican Party’s official response. The massive economic stimulus bill recently enacted by Obama and congressional Democrats, Jindal said, will expand the government, “increase our taxes down the line, and saddle future generations with debt.”

“It’s irresponsible,” said Jindal, who is eyeing a presidential bid in 2012. 

The tone of the Republicans’ response was in keeping with their nearly unanimous opposition to the $787 billion economic stimulus bill, which was backed by only three Republicans in the Senate and none in the House.

Wall Street has turned the clock back to 1997. Investors unable to extinguish their worries about a recession that has no end in sight dumped stocks again Monday. The Dow Jones industrial average tumbled 251 points to its lowest close since Oct. 28, 1997, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index logged its lowest finish since April 11, 1997.

All the major indexes slid more than 3 percent. The Dow is just over 100 points from 7,000.

“People left and right are throwing in the towel,” said Keith Springer, president of Capital Financial Advisory Services.

Investors pounded most financial stocks even as government agencies led by the Treasury Department said they would launch a revamped bank rescue program this week. The plan includes the option of increasing government ownership in financial institutions without having to pour more taxpayer money into them.

Although the government has said it doesn’t want to nationalize banks, many investors are clearly still concerned that this could be a possibility as banks continue to suffer severe losses because of the recession. They’re also worried that banks’ losses will keep escalating as the recession sends more borrowers into default.

“The biggest thing I see here is the incredible pessimism,” Springer said. “The government is doing a lousy job of alleviating fears.”

President Obama signed an international fetal death sentence in January with an executive order reversing the ban that prohibits funding to international family planning groups that provide abortions, as first reported by ABC News.

       

Under the humane “Mexico City Policy,” the U.S. government could not provide funding for family planning services to clinics or groups that offered abortion-related services overseas, even if funding for those activities came from non-government sources. It essentially barred recipients of U.S. foreign aid from promoting abortion as a method of family planning.

If organizations received government funding, they would “agree as a condition of their receipt of federal funds that such organizations would neither perform nor actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations.”

The policy, dubbed the “Global Gag Rule” by abortion rights groups, was introduced by the administration of Ronald Reagan in 1984 in Mexico City, and was instituted that year. It was then overturned by President Bill Clinton in 1993 and restored by George W. Bush at the beginning of his office in 2001.

Now, with Obama’s new overturn of the policy, the United States is back in the business of supporting death for the unborn.

Governor Bobby Jindal Leads The Way In Rejecting Dysfunctional Stimulus

Renew your faith in the Republican Party.

First, Republican Senators did what they could to ignite a common sense stimulus bill, but they were ignored and The Monster From Pelosi passed.

Now, here’s Jindal, and a handful of other excellent Republican governors standing up and saying,” it passed…you signed it Oh Great One”…but like Ivan inThe Brothers Karamazov, he’s respectfully, or maybe not so respectfully, returning the ticket…in this case to an obscene and dysfunctional pork party.

Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal is sticking to his position of rejecting part of the federal stimulus money for his state, saying Sunday that accepting an increase in unemployment benefits will lead to higher taxes on businesses in his state. 

Mississippi Republican Gov. Haley Barbour, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin say they may follow suit. They say the money to be disbursed to the states in the $787 billion spending and tax cuts package comes with too many strings attached.

This is the right direction for the Republicans.  Continue to dissect this ill-conceived package, not from an emotional, finger-pointing perspective, but from from an intellectual one.  Explain to the American people, in no uncertain terms, because this is what we’ve been needing since Regan departed; Explain with a passion why this wealth distribution and economic justice crap just won’t work, and will probably even backfire, creating enormous messes with all it’s unintended consequences that the liberals never think of when they write legislation.
